Hindu Calendar 2027: Every Festival and Date Post on This Site, in One Place

Most Hindu calendar pages online are a wall of dates dumped in one table, no explanation of why Diwali lands on a new moon or why Holi and Holika Dahan are two separate days.

This page does something narrower: it collects every 2027 festival and transit post on this site, English and Hindi, so you can find the one you actually need without searching one at a time.

A quick orientation first. Most of these dates are lunisolar, meaning they follow the Moon’s tithi (lunar day) within a solar month, which is why the same festival lands on a different Gregorian date every year.

A handful, like Makar Sankranti, follow the Sun’s movement between signs and barely move at all. Where the two systems interact in an unusual way for 2027, the individual post explains it rather than papering over it.

Already live on this site

These festival pages for 2027 are published and ready to read now: Makar Sankranti 2027, Maha Shivratri 2027, Holi 2027, Ugadi 2027, Ram Navami 2027, Krishna Janmashtami 2027, Ganesh Chaturthi 2027, Raksha Bandhan 2027, Navratri 2027, Vijayadashami 2027, Diwali 2027, Chhath Puja 2027, Guru Purnima 2027, Hanuman Jayanti 2027, and Karva Chauth 2027. Several have Hindi versions linked from those same pages.

New in this batch

These are publishing over the next two weeks and will go live on their own scheduled dates: Saraswati Puja, Basant Panchami (English and Hindi), Durga Puja, Akshaya Tritiya (English and Hindi), Gudi Padwa, Pongal, Vivah Muhurat, Chaitra Navratri, Lohri, Holika Dahan, Jupiter Transit, Saturn Transit, Kumbh Mela at Nashik, Onam, Mahavir Jayanti, Rath Yatra, Buddha Purnima, Kali Puja, and the year’s solar and lunar eclipses.

As each one goes live its link on this page starts working; until then the slug is fixed, so bookmarking this page now means every link resolves on its own over the coming weeks: Saraswati Puja 2027, Basant Panchami 2027, Durga Puja 2027, Akshaya Tritiya 2027, Gudi Padwa 2027, Pongal 2027, Vivah Muhurat 2027, Chaitra Navratri 2027, Lohri 2027, Holika Dahan 2027, Jupiter Transit 2027, Saturn Transit 2027, Kumbh Mela 2027, Onam 2027, Mahavir Jayanti 2027, Rath Yatra 2027, Buddha Purnima 2027, Kali Puja 2027, and Solar and Lunar Eclipses 2027.

Why the same festival can have two dates in different places

You will notice that some sources give a festival one date and this site gives another, sometimes a day apart. That is not an error on either side.

Tithis begin and end at specific moments, not at midnight, so a tithi that is active at sunrise in Delhi may have already ended by sunrise in a city further east or west, or in a different time zone entirely.

Every individual post on this site states which tithi and which reference point it is using, rather than presenting a single number as universal.

This site does not sell remedies, gemstones, or paid rituals. Every date here is checked against the Panchang rather than copied from a single source, and where a date genuinely could not be pinned down with confidence it is marked rather than guessed at.

Why do some 2027 festival dates differ between websites?

Most differences come from timezone and city. A tithi is exact to the minute, so the same festival can fall on different Gregorian dates depending on which city’s sunrise or moonrise is used as the reference point.

Is this the full list of every Hindu festival in 2027?

No. This page lists the festivals and topics this site has written about, both live now and scheduled. For a complete festival list, a dedicated Panchang calendar site is the better reference.

Will the links to upcoming posts work before they publish?

Not until each post’s own scheduled date. The slugs are fixed in advance, so once a post goes live its link on this page starts working without needing an update here.

Does this site sell pujas, remedies, or muhurat consultations?

No. Nothing on this site is for sale in that sense. The goal is to explain the mechanics of the calendar, not to prescribe rituals.

I built Karma Jyotisha because most “AI astrology” online is a chatbot improvising. This site runs real Vimśottarī daśā and nakṣatra math off Maharṣi Parāśara’s BPHS — computed, not guessed. I’m an engineer, not a professional astrologer, so I treat this as a calculation tool, not a fortune-teller — and say so on every page.
